LCD Laptop Repair Do’s and Don’t

So you have had your laptop for about a year and suddenly the LCD screen has no light to it anymore.  Let’s go over some of the do’s and don’t of how to go about fixing or maybe not fixing your notebook computer.

Do

Do make sure you can get no visable pixels or anything on the screen, but make sure the laptop is fully turned on.  If you want do a control-alt-delelete test.  This will bring up the task manager which should cause your computer processor to do some work so listen carefully to your laptop and see if you can hear the processor sort of kick in to gear.  If you do the you know the laptop is fine and it’s just that it needs LCD laptop repair.

Do

Do your research on the internet and figure out if your style brand of laptop, maybe it’s a Toshiba laptop, so Google a term like ‘toshiba laptop lcd problems’ and see if others have had this problem.  If others have had this problem see how they diagnosed it and how they resolved it.  No reason to re invent the wheel go by what others have done to their PC.

Don’t

Do not begin taking it apart and hoping to see what the problem is.  You need to find a very indepth guide on your specific model of laptop before you can do this.  Don’t assume you can figure it out, taking apart a laptop is one of the hardest computer repair problems to do.

Don’t

Don’t go out and just buy a new laptop and trash the one you have.  The laptop is probably fine its just the LCD screen that went bad.  Or even better it could be the LCD screen backlight, and that part is very cheap to replace!
